We're the place to keep cool!

Hey all,

Our AC is probably, hopefully, working here at St. Roch Market. Our vendors have also been at work creating dishes focused around keeping cool.

So this summer come hang out in our big open, and most importantly, ACed space and grab some new light dishes from our vendors.

The Salted Pearl

Traditional Ceviche made with fresh gulf fish or crawfish. He'll be switching it up halfway though the summer from one to the other. So come by and try them both.

Slow and Pho

Light and delicious the Spring Rolls make a great light meal when it's hot out. It's also a nice cool bite for an appetizer.

Family Cajun Kitchen

Get dat Nola Wrap! Chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes get wrapped up in a spinach tortilla. Comes with a bag of chips and a soda. Grab to hang out or it has everything you need to grab to take on a picnic.

Taceaux Loceaux

Alex's got two amazing new salads. His classic Truck Salad is the lightest and coolest choice. Pick chicken, pork or ground beef with queso fresco, toasted pepitas and radishes. Topped off with an flavorful cilantro vinaigrette.

Or, if you're like my Mom, get his straight up Taco Salad. Everything you'd expect in a fried flour bowl.

Aritza's Kitchen

The Cuban Cobb is an amazing different take on the classic. It's a salad, with flavor notes of Cuban food. Smoked Chicken jumps out at you with all the other Cobb ingredients. Tomato's Bacon, and eggs combine with her pickled onions to bring all the best flavors of Cuba in a cold salad. Her perfect Citrus dressing adds sparkle to the smokiness.

Laksa

Their Shan Tofu Salad is a must try. Cool salad of Chickpeas, tofu, shaved cabbage, cilantro, fresh onion all come together with a tamarind dressing.

Lin's Sushi

This one here is the first one that's so hot it's cool. Or so cool it's hot... Either way this one is a winner. Her spicy tuna on some corn chips! Come on! Topped with jalapenos, onion, and spicy mayo. So hot it's cool! Bring your friends for this one, because it's perfect to share.

Dolma

I put the hurt on this one when I tried it. Your choice of Hummus, baba ghanoush, or tzatziki with all those nice cool toppings you see in that photo. Scoop that up with warm pita bread for an amazing light flavorful, and most importantly, cool lunch.

Our chefs are always creating new dishes and doing fun things in the market. It's my sincere hope to create a thriving market atmosphere in St. Roch year-round!

It's summer, it's hot in New Orleans, we all know that. We can sit and complain about how hot it is, or we can shove some delicious cold food in our mouths and eat! You decide! It's not Mardi Gras but we can still let the good times roll!
