Our First Wine Pairing

I’ve got an event at the market I’m pretty excited about. I want to get to a point where we can do something like this once a week. It’s going to take a lot of orchestration to do consistently but we’ve got to start somewhere with it. This is the perfect wine to start with and if you’re a wine drinker, you won't want to miss it.

On Friday, June 7th, from 3pm to 6pm, St. Roch Market is thrilled to host EHRET Winery. You should come try their very small production wines.

They are pretty massive grape growers from California. What they do is out of their huge farm (most of which they sell to other wine makers) they keep the special grapes in the best sections of the farm for their own wines. They make some really exceptional award winning California wine. This event promises an unforgettable afternoon where you can indulge in the unique flavors of EHRET's very small-production wines.

We’re paring them up with some bites from our vendors. This was a fun thing for me to do, go around the market seeing what will work well with different wines. We’ll have little $5 bites of food that you can grab from some select vendors available that are perfectly paired with their wines.

Meet Alex Ehret, a passionate vintner representing the third generation of the Ehret family. Have all your questions answered about their wines and the wine industry. My wife and I found them through a friend of a friend and they took us on an ATV trip through their vineyard a few years ago. I’m sure if you come and chat with them that’s something you could arrange. It’s really cool.

They are also excited to offer a special Free Shipping promotion if you buy a few bottles. Their wines will be shipped directly to you from California. They are unique super small production wines, and this is a really neat value if you want to get a few of their wines.

I can’t wait to host them. I want to do more of these around the market, but the opportunity to do EHRET first I couldn’t pass up. Whatever we do in the future though, this one is going to stand out just for the sheer uniqueness and quality of this wine maker. They’re a real gem.
